Help support the campaign
This campaign is about giving Nationwide members a stronger voice.
If you support that goal, there are a number of simple ways you can help.
1. The most important thing you can do is…
–> VOTE! (And encourage other eligible Members to VOTE too!)
Turnout in Nationwide elections is typically very low (just 4% of total members) — which means every additional vote has real impact.
Got your voting pack already?
See How to Vote in the Nationwide AGM 2026
Don’t have a voting pack?
Voting papers are expected to arrive from 8th June 2026. Once the Nationwide AGM page is updated you will be able to request voting codes so you can vote electronically.

DO NOT USE THE QUICK VOTE!
2. Share with others on email and social media

If you know other Nationwide members, please consider sharing your support.
–> Simple message you can copy:
I’m planning to vote for James Sherwin-Smith - he’s standing for election to the Nationwide board to increase member representation. Worth a look if you’re with Nationwide: https://james4nationwide.co.uk

7. Write to your MP re ’emerging governance issues’
Mr Navendu (Nav) Mishra MP has written to the Chancellor, the Rt. Hon. Rachel Reeves MP, and the chair of Nationwide, Kevin Parry OBE, regarding ’emerging governance issues’ in member-owned organisations like building societies.
Supporters have been writing to their MP to see if they share Nav Mishra’s concerns.
