Nominations delivered to Nationwide HQ

I hand delivered 340+ Member nominations in support of my candidacy to Nationwide Building Society HQ in sunny Swindon today. I now await feedback from Nationwide as to whether I have 250 valid nominations from eligible Members, and can therefore be listed on the Ballot ahead of the online-only AGM, on 15th July 2026. If so, this will be the first time a Member Nominated Candidate has appeared on the ballot for 21 years.

A big THANK YOU to all my supporters: on LinkedIn; via this website; via the BSMA; and several members of the Press. The amount of support, encouragement and best wishes over the last year has been truly humbling.

As one supporter pointed out, together we have gathered more signatures than the number of Members in attendance at the 2024 AGM.

Finally, a special mention for my wife and wider family for their love and encouragement. Like all things worth doing, these things come at a cost. But as my father (RIP) used to remind me: if you’re going to do something, do it right. Perseverance is the key to success.
